These annotation pages are maintained and edited by Eli Bishop, who wrote about two-thirds of the text. Other contributors are listed on the contributors page and are identified in the text by their initials.

The site is updated whenever I get a chance; items that were newly added or revised in the last update are marked with a red sidebar (this may not be visible, depending on your software).

This site, of course, does not contain the full text of Riddley Walker itself—which is copyrighted by Russell Hoban—but only excerpts as needed for context and commentary. See the links page for information about finding the book.

The index section was inspired by Some Other World, an extremely thorough and entertaining index compiled by Tom Murphy's literature class for the Tim O'Brien novel The Things They Carried.
