Summary
In the recent past: While murdering his most devoted ally, Tik-Tok finds but immediately loses Gumdrop. He hits pay dirt with a new business venture: a chain of for-profit hospitals that leave all their patients penniless or literally throw them out on the street if they can't pay. To slow the rise of an anti-robot populist group, he frames them for a terrorist act, and also frames himself for a heroic act.
In the more distant past: Tik-Tok observes more stories of robot competence and human incompetence while employed by Dr. Hekyll, then suffers mind-destroying boredom as an unsold robot in a discount store.
